       women entrepreneurs in India have come a long way. Almost half of the world population constitutes women population. So it is in India also. Go back in time and you will find, at that time women were confined to perform only household activities. But with time advances in gender equality and human rights led them to come out of those four walls to participate in all sorts of activities.

       In recent times, we have seen too many Indian male world leaders Sundar pichai, Satya nadella, Ajaypal singh few among them. But at the same time Indian women are not far behind, they have also gone from merely homemakers to becoming innovative business leaders in a short span of few decades. So lets have a look at some of the most renowned women entrepreneurs in India.
 
        Indu Jain – Current Chairperson at Bennet, Coleman hailing from Faizabad Uttra Pradesh, is a great example of that. Currently, Indu is the sitting chairperson at Bennet and Coleman. She was awarded by the coveted Padma Bhushan award, as a token of appreciation for what she’s contributed to the Indian society. 
        If there’s one thing that’s important among women entrepreneurs in India, it’s being persistent. And you’ll find no better example of that than Indra Nooyi – CFO and president of PepsiCo in India.Before she joined the ranks of PepsiCo, she did some work for Motorola and Asea Brown as well. she is an inspiration to girls and women all over the continent and will continue to provide guidance to those who want to thrive in business.
       Vandana Luthra – Founder and President of VLCC – an extremely influential businesswoman. She comes from New Delhi, where she was born in 1959. In 1989, she founded VLCC, which would go on to become one of the largest beauty and wellness giants in the country. Her hard work and determination led to her accepting the Padma Shri award in 2013.
       And the list will go on and on but the fact is that succeeding in business is tough anywhere, for both women and men and any woman who manages to do this is worthy of society’s admiration and respect.
